Ana Landeros McMahon
Co-Founder
Parent/Advocate

Ana Landeros was born in Jalisco, Mexico and is the mother of three beautiful children: Arturo, Antonio and Cristina. Antonio, her "angelito", has autism, epilepsy and ataxic cerebral palsy. Ana is also the founder of exceptionalmothers.org, a resource center for mothers of children with developmental disabilities. Ana is incredibly passionate about her belief that “all children with developmental disabilities need a safe and permanent home.” Ana carries her message to other parents with special needs children and challenges them to become financially literate so that they can quickly gain access to homeownership and create financial independence.
 

Denise Hernandez
Outreach Program Coordinator

Denise Hernandez earned a B.S. degree in Elementary/Special Education from Northern Arizona University, along with a Masters Degree in Bilingual/Multicultural Education while participating in a program entitled D.R.E.A.M.S (Developing Rural Exceptional-educators to Address Multicultural Students). Denise has been trained to deliver high quality education to rural, and culturally and linguistically diverse, exceptional needs students. Denise moved to San Diego, CA in 2003 and is currently a Special Education teacher.

Charlotte Esquivel
Bi-Lingual Outreach Coordinator

Charlotte Esquivel has been a teacher for more than ten years, specializing in working with students who are learning English. Charlotte received a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Albright College in Reading, PA., and a Master's degree from National University. Charlotte earned her teaching credential through a San Diego County district intern program, and eventually went on to work for the program as a coach to other interns. Since buying her own first home, Charlotte developed a keen interest in real estate and the lending process, eventually forming the goal of helping other families achieve their dream of homeownership.

John W. Vaughn
Community Outreach Consultant

John Vaughn graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Journalism and received his Masters Degree in Special Education from National University. John represents Homes4Angels at public meetings, answering questions and advocating for housing for people with developmental disabilities. In addition to his work for Homes4Angels, John is a special education teacher and an award winning photographic artist and muralist.
